DIGITAL SENSOR NOT READY MESSAGE ON 2D PANORAMIC SYSTEMS (Private Label Touch or OEM non-TS Panoramic systems)

Issue may be related to the following below:
(*)Checks that can be made without replacement parts

In advance of checks, make sure Capture program is open, and syncing with the master control of the Pano. Otherwise, if software is not ready, the Pano will throw "DIGITAL SENSOR NOT READY"

1) *Pano Couplers / Cat5 cables from DSPU Board to PC / or a network issue
- check if capture module syncs with the Pano machine control
- can you ping machine from capture PC?
- check for IP conflict by powering off the machine and pinging it’s IP address. Do you receive a reply?
- can you connect directly from DSPU board to capture PC with Cat5e, ping and enter machine into READY mode?
- insert FAT32 formatted USB thumdrive into master control. Are you able to put machine into READY?

2) *Capture program issue or IP not assigned

NOTE: verify DSPU IP ADDRESS in CONFIGURATION MENU PASS 92 then verify it in software configuration

3) *Magnet inside the sensor covers not attached or not close enough to sensor (see FIGURE 1).

NOTE: When the handle closes, a magnet on the handle makes contact with a small sensor to complete the circuit. For a moment when the sensor is inserted into the female connector, the PAN or CEPH LED on DSPU should light (depending which side you insert the sensor).

4) *Female connector is damaged and must be replaced

NOTE: in a Ceph system, if problem is only on one side, swap the female connector to opposite side to confirm connector is bad. If problem is both sides, like not the female connector

5) *Sensor itself, or flat ribbon cable within casing not connected to the sensor box

6) DSPU board is bad and must be replaced [n. 4695444100]

NOTE: DSPU board has firmware specific to match CPU board. If you replace existing board with a new one, you should update the firmware to match existing board so it works well with CPU. Firmware can be found in Help -> About menu in LAN PANORAMIC application on capture PC (make sure Pano is powered on).

7) Male connector of mobile sensor is damaged and the covers kit must be replaced

8) Cable Connecting Female Connector to DSPU

NOTE: On a Pan / Ceph, if both sides have DSNR, then it is likely not the cable.
Pano side = [6207041400]
Ceph side = [6207080800]

9) Pan Only system

NOTE: In this case, in addition to above cable, DSPU board, and sensor, problem can also be of [n. 6206071400] – “Internal Sensor Connection Board Pan Only”. This part takes the place of female connector in Pan Only configuration.
